Vestibular Disease - (Old Dog's Disease)

Vestibular Disease can be misdiagnosed and sometimes the pet can be mistakenly euthanized as a result. If your pet suddenly has rapid eye movement, is unable to stand up, their head tilts to one side often resulting in the pet rolling over uncontrollably, contact your vet immediately. Dramamine can help with the symptoms but your pet will need your assistance with simple day to day functions. Symptoms should begin to subside in a couple of days with complete recovery within two weeks. Your pet may be left with a permanent head tilt.
